 Interim Operations Committee 

After 18 years as lead pastor and blessing Hillcrest Church by his pastoral care and leadership, Allan Buchanan resigned effective Dec 31, 2010.  Currently the Elders Board is leading the staff and ministry of Hillcrest  through an Interim Operations Committee (Bart Oegema, Ron Francis & Doug Siggelkow). We are trusting the Lord for a successful transition period and for His perfect will in 2011.  

Steve Atkins - LifeGroups & Young Adult Ministries
Steve and Marnie came to Hillcrest 2002. Steve served first as Youth pastor, is on the teaching team, and transitioned in 2009 to lead LifeGroups and Young Adult Ministries.  Steve and Marnie have two boys, Javan and Judah.  Steve connects with our community through his passion for soccer.

 Jodi Hartung - Youth Ministry                                    

Jodi is the newest member of our team giving leadership to Youth Ministries and a great team of volunteers since September 2009.  A graduate of BBC, she is doing Masters studies in the Youth and Family Ministries program at BBS.  Though a first time Youth Pastor, she has extensive training and experience in youth and camping ministries.

Kevin Ratzlaff - Worship Arts                                                                                    
Kevin joined our team in January 2009 to lead Worship Ministries, a growing team of musicians, singers, actors, and technicians who serve each week in the Celebration Service, ROKS and special occassions. He is married to Carol, assists her with home-schooling their six children and is a Masters student at BBS.

 Daycee Richardson - Children's Ministry

 Daycee joined our team in 2003 to lead a team of volunteers providing ministry to Children at Hillcrest. Daycee has a passion for outreach to our community and beyond. She also job shares this important ministry with Liz Siemens. She is married to Kevin Richardson and they have one son, Josiah. 

Liz Siemens -  Children's Ministry                                                                                                       

Liz first came to work with Hillcrest Children's Ministry for a one year internship from Millar College of the Bible, and then capably filled in for Daycee Richardson while she was on maternity leave last year. As of July 2011, Liz began job sharing with Daycee and the two work wonderfully together.  

  Support Staff

Laura Blackman - Administration
Laura serves as Administrative Assistant to the Senior Pastor providing administrative support to the Senior Pastor and pastors.  She  oversees the Central Office, Reception, Facility Bookings, Data Processing, and Publishing. Laura's passion is to serve with joy and bring order out of chaos. She helps create a great atmosphere for staff, volunteers, guests, and those who connect by phone. Laura is married to Duncan. She works Monday to Thursday and is assisted in the office by Karen MacNaughton and several volunteers.

 Karen MacNaughton - Administration

Karen serves in the Church Office as Administrative Assistant to Laura Blackman.  She is invaluable, assisting in Church Office reception, book-Keeping, and many administrative projects on Fridays as well as Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Laura can't say enough good things about her contribution to the Church Office and Pastoral Team.
